How do you paint evening? Twilight, specifically. I have been on a quest to figure it out and Music and Social Distance was among a batch of images in my first attempt over 2024 into 2025.
Underpainting helped set the tone for the sky hues and also the lit windows and warmth in the figures. I underpainted with Golden Diarylide yellow mixed with Holbein Luminous Opera. The mixture is like a warm mango.
